The Grimm Hotel is a walk-through theatre experience for children age 8+ and their families. Set in a purpose built ‘hotel’, audience members will have the opportunity to choose which rooms they visit. Behind each of the doors at The Grimm Hotel lies a theatrical installation with live performances, magic and music based on a story by the Brothers Grimm, set in a magical, yet deliciously dark, fairytale world.

Cahoots NI are putting together a Team to work alongside us on this groundbreaking show, and we need you!

Hotel Bellhops – Tour guide/Event Staff/Performer, Paid Position 

Applicants must be over the age of 18

Audience members will be lead through The Grimm Hotel by their own personal Bellhop, who will host the group from check in and throughout the 75 minute experience. The team of Hotel Bellhops will be straight out of a fairytale story – quirky, mischievous with a balance of spooky and comedic characteristics. 

Applicants should be good communicators, comfortable engaging with groups of young audience members and their families, delivering scripted instructions in character and managing the health and safety of their group as they move between different performance installations.

This role would be well suited to those with experience in a public facing role in retail/hospitality/tourism, or experience working with children and young people.

Payment : Hourly rates

Location : Cityside Retail & Leisure Park, Belfast

Hotel Stewards – Voluntary Position

Applicants must be over the age of 18

The Grimm Hotel has Hotel Stewards on duty when performances are taking place. Stewards play a vital role as ambassadors for Cahoots NI and The Grimm Hotel. We are looking for reliable volunteers who can help to provide a safe and positive experience for young audiences and families attending the event. 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Sign posting audience members to the Hotel entrance and exit
  • Helping to provide a positive experience for visitors
  • Checking Tickets
  • Maintaining a Covid Safe environment
  • Handling enquiries
  • Managing queueing systems
  • Distributing promotional materials
  • Collecting Feedback

Roles may also include, where suitable :

  • Setting up and taking down promotional branding
  • Handling cash/card transactions for ticket and merchandise sales. 

This role will suit people who have a passion for the arts, who are outgoing, enjoy working with the public and children, or someone who is looking for work experience in the arts and events industries.
